Breast Cancer Awareness

October is breast cancer awareness month. In honor of the millions of men and women who were diagnosed, we are going to capture images providing support, statistics, and hope to spread the word about this disease. 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. There are 2.8 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S.

Some ideas I have for this project are to have a breast cancer survivor and write either "I survived" or "Survivor" on her arm while she hold up a fist, symbolizing her fight. Another idea is to have an encouraging phrase written on the arm or knuckles like "Fight on!", "Think Pink", "Show you care, be aware!", or "Fight like a girl."
