Painting With Light

The long exposure option on a camera allows the shutter to stay open for a longer time so the camera absorbs more light. We took advantage of this feature to "paint" with light. We first turned the classroom into a darkroom. Then we set up a tripod, placed a model in front of it, and used our phone flashlights to draw around them. The diffuculties are that you have to imagine what you are drawing in the air because it doesn't stay there like on paper. It took SO MANY attempts to make nice, focused drawings, but I'm pretty proud of the result.
